Identification of protein fractions of cell hypoglycaemia fruit juice of Momordica charantia L.

          The results regarding the molecular weight of protein fraction of fruit juice of Momordica charantia.

          Area of interest includes p-polypeptide and MC6 peptide is represented by fractions F13-F16. Using the gel scanning software US-SCAN-IT in that area it indicates a specific density profile for frations F13, F14, F15 and F16.
          The conclusion: were identificated the fractions F15-F16 as appropiate to  p-polypeptide and MC6 peptide, with a molecular weight at 11300 dal and 9900 dal.

          Were selected 2 cell lines with a hight antioxidant capacity and a high content of polyphenols and they were characterized at a molecular lever using RAPD markers.

Effect of root extract from Momordica charantia in rabbits with diabetes caused by aloxan

          We found that the root extract from Momordica charantia has hypoglycaemic effect proportional to dose: 4 ml of extract lows the  glucose  level continuous, under the start value, with up to 5%, after 10 hours from administration; 6 ml of extract lows the glucose level gradually with up to 16% after 10 hours from administration.

          The conclusion: the obtained results suggests  the high dilution of hypoglycaemic substance in the product extraction, imposing its concentration in extracts to be tested for certification hypoglycaemic effect.
